April highlights:
- Global design activities increased, while global sourcing activities decreased in April compared to prior month and prior year
- Global design activities increased +1% month-over-month and +17% year-over-year. Growth in activities were seen in the EMEA and APAC regions, while design activities remained flat in the Americas. Components in the embedded processors and controllers, sensors, and circuit protection product groups observed the largest growth in design activities for the month
- Following seasonal trends, global sourcing activities decreased month-over-month. Global activities decreased -12% month-over-month and -19% year-over-year. Decrease in activities were observed across all regions and all product categories
Q2 2024 outlook:
- Projections remain unchanged for Q2. Global design activities are projected to grow between +5% to +8% quarter-over-quarter driven by growth in activities from the Americas and APAC regions. Global sourcing activities are projected to decrease between -1% to -5% quarter-over-quarter driven by decrease in activities in the Americas and EMEA regions
