- Year-over-year, design activities increased across all three regions, marking continued momentum in global design demand.
July Sourcing Activities:
- Global electronic components sourcing activities rose +9% month-over-month in July, defying the historical −4% seasonal decline.
- All regions experienced month-over-month increases, with EMEA and APAC each up more than +10% and the Americas up +2%. Year-over-year, sourcing grew in APAC and the Americas but declined in EMEA.
- Gains were observed across all major product categories, supported by improved market expectations and rising demand for components used in AI and automation technologies.
Calendar Q3 2025 Outlook:
- Q3 projections remain unchanged from last month: global design activities are expected to decline −5% quarter-over-quarter, while global sourcing activities are projected to fall −10% quarter-over-quarter.
