September Design Activities:

  • Global electronic components design activities increased +5% month-over-month and +21% year-over-year, outperforming historical trends that typically remain flat to −1% month-over-month during this period.
  • All regions recorded month-over-month increases, with year-over-year growth continuing across EMEA, APAC, and the Americas.

September Sourcing Activities:

  • Global electronic components sourcing activities decreased −2% month-over-month and −1% year-over-year, performing better than the historical average −5% decline typically observed from August to September.
  • Despite the modest month-over-month dip, sourcing activity showed relative resilience across regions compared to seasonal expectations.

Calendar Q3 2025 Results:

  • For the quarter, global design and sourcing activities trended in line with expectations. Design activity declined −4% quarter-over-quarter (vs. −5% forecast), while sourcing activity declined −9% (vs. −10% forecast).
  • Compared to the same period last year, design activity increased +15%, while sourcing activity remained flat.

Key Verticals:

  • Global design and sourcing activity continued to be concentrated in aerospace, defense, industrial machinery and factory automation, robotics, consumer electronics, and communication equipment.
