Time to buy: stopwatch showing the word Time to Buy

The lasting impacts of supply chain disruptions stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic have made an enduring imprint on the electronics industry. Procurement professionals worldwide have since then been forced to reassess their methods for sourcing and purchasing components in a market plagued by record-high shortages.

One way to monitor component availability and prices across multiple distributors and manufacturers is by leveraging Findchips’ real-time alerts.

How to Set Up Part Alerts in Four Easy Steps

  • Register for a free findchips.com account. If you have already registered for an account, then sign in to findchips.com.
  • Search for the part you want to set up an alert for and click the alert icon in the “Set Alert” column.

  • Populate the inventory and pricing alert settings for the component you have selected. You also have the option to create an alert for the part’s alternates. Once you are done filling out your alert settings, click the orange “Select Distributors” button.

  • Select the distributors you would like the alerts to trigger for and then click the orange “Set Alert” button.

To view your alerts dashboard where you can easily manage your part alerts (remove, edit, add, and export), click the “Alerts” link at the top of the Findchips navigation bar while you are logged in.
